Fernando is one the most respected lawyers, arbitrators and professors of law in Latin America. He is an expert in Arbitration and Civil Law. He was an arbitrator in numerous and complex arbitration cases, both domestic and internationally, in which he acted as the President of Arbitration tribunals several times. Fernando has extensively written articles and books in Law, Philosophy and History. He was also the Dean of the Universidad Católica´s School of Law and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru. He has been a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School.

Fernando has a Bachelor´s degree of Law and a PhD from Universidad Católica. Currently, he is a Professor of Law at Universidad Católica del Perú and Founding Partner of De Trazegnies Abogados Law Firm based in Lima.
